Dear Members of the PMA,
The fall is always a bustling time on campus. It’s hard to believe that we’re already halfway through the fall term and that homecoming is just around the corner. The PMA executive has been hard at work putting into action the plans presented at our Spring AGM, and the coming months as a result are filled with opportunities for our members to connect, learn, network and engage. Thank you to our dedicated team of volunteers who help make these events and perks possible!
In addition, sessions for our existing members such as the Learning and Leadership Week organized by our Professional Development committee, we’re actively seeking to connect with PMA eligible staff who are not yet members. I’d like to encourage you to bring a PMA eligible non-member to our upcoming Fall Mixer, so that they can learn more about the perks of membership and connect with our team.
New Wellness Services
I’d also like to take this chance to highlight some of the new services available not only to PMA members but all staff, through the new Morneau Shepell Employee and Family Assistance program. In addition to in-person, phone, video and online chat counselling services, this new provider also offers Wellness Services including: Career Counselling, Health Coaching, Nutritional Support Services, Naturopathic Services, and Legal Support Services. Please visit: https://www.uwo.ca/hr/benefits/eap/index.html to learn more about the wide range of services available.
PMA Flex Credits
Lastly, as the calendar year is wrapping up, I wanted to remind our members to use your PMA flex credits, and start thinking about your 2020 credit allocation. A detailed list of allowable expenses for the Professional Expense Reimbursement Account (PER) and instructions on how to submit your claim can be found here: https://www.uwo.ca/hr/benefits/flex/flex_pma.html
Looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming mixer,
