PMA COVID-19 Update

Dear Members of the PMA,

Following the recommendations of the University and the Health Unit, the PMA will be postponing any events we had scheduled prior to May 1st. As our AGM is scheduled for May 21st, we have not yet rescheduled this event, but as the situation is evolving rapidly, we may need to revaluate that at a later date. In the interim, the executive is exploring alternate formats of delivery, including a virtual AGM.

During this time, our members have been going above and beyond to ensure we are prepared for the many changes and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our community. On behalf of the entire executive, I would like to thank everyone who is working together to help us navigate these uncertain times and supporting our campus operations. For the time being, staff and faculty members should continue to report to work as usual. If you have extraordinary circumstances that require accommodation, please speak with your supervisor.

If you are ill, or in self-isolation due to international travel, please stay home.

Understandably, it is also a time of uncertainty and stress – the health of our members is our top priority. As such, please remember that the Employee and Family Assistance Program is available 24/7 to all Western Employees, By phone: 1-844-880-9142, on the web, and by downloading the My EAP app

As the situation is changing rapidly, we would encourage our members to visit Western’s COVID-19 update page regularly to stay up to date regarding the latest developments:
