Get Involved

The Professional and Managerial Association (PMA) thrives because of the dedication, expertise, and engagement of its members. Our committees and working groups play an important role in advancing the interests of PMA members by supporting advocacy, professional development, employee well-being, equity and belonging, member engagement, communications, and strategic initiatives across Western University.

We rely on volunteers to help shape the future of the Association and ensure that the voices of PMA members are represented. Whether you’re interested in planning events, supporting professional development opportunities, contributing to policy discussions, promoting equity and inclusion, or helping guide strategic priorities, there is a meaningful way to get involved.

One of the easiest ways to make your voice heard is by sharing your feedback.

Members are encouraged to:

  • Participate in surveys and consultations.
  • Share feedback on PMA priorities and initiatives.
  • Submit questions and suggestions.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen the PMA community.

Your feedback helps inform the work of the PMA, and ensures member priorities remain at the centre of our decisions.

Members from all areas of the University are encouraged to consider joining a committee or serving as a PMA representative on a Western task group. Your involvement helps strengthen the Association and support its continued growth and development.

There are many ways to contribute to the PMA. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are interested in a longer-term leadership opportunity, we welcome your involvement.
