Research Associate

The Research Associate will support the research activities for the PMA Negotiations Team and the PMA Executive. This short-term contract will work closely with the Negotiation Committee Co-Chairs, committee members and the PMA executive to draft, edit and survey the PMA Membership.  The incumbent will also conduct data analysis and prepare a thorough executive report that will be utilized by the Negotiations team for the 2022 Negotiations with Western Human Resources.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s Degree with specific experience in research design and qualitative survey methods

Experience

3+ years of work experience supporting research

• Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
• Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach
• Ability to collect and analyze data in an objective manner
• Familiarity with methods for research design, implementation, and analysis
• Familiarity with experimental design and analysis 
• Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the project needs
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently
• Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in a professional, respectful, and diplomatic manner
• Take initiative and follow through on work assignments
• Outstanding Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document technical information

Pay

Between $30- $40 per hour based on qualifications and experience
