Dear Members,
As we continue to strive for excellence and progress within our association, we would like to inform you of some recent changes within our leadership team.
Firstly, as announced earlier in the summer we bid farewell to Sarah Dawson, who has concluded her tenure as Vice President, effective June 30th, 2023. Sarah’s contributions as Co-Chair of the Support Committee and Chair of the Negotiation Committee have been invaluable, and we are pleased to share that she will maintain her involvement with the PMA, continuing to lend her expertise to both committees.
Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Ryan Alary, Second Vice-President and Treasurer, who has officially stepped down from his roles within the PMA as of August 8th, 2023. Ryan’s dedication as a member of the Support Committee has significantly impacted our organization’s growth. He has embarked on a new journey as a Director at the Ivey Business School. While he transitions into this new chapter, Ryan remains a devoted supporter of the PMA and takes pride in the collective achievements realized during his tenure.
In light of these changes, we are pleased to introduce the selection of interim executive members who will assume their responsibilities until the forthcoming Executive Officer Slate vote. This vote takes place during the Annual General Meeting, a long-standing tradition scheduled annually in the month of May.
We are elated to introduce Whitney Barrett as the Acting Vice-President. Whitney’s distinguished service as the current Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee has exemplified her dedication to the growth and enhancement of our organization. We are confident in her ability to further our mission in this new capacity.
Furthermore, we are delighted to welcome Jess Bechard to the PMA Executive as the Acting Second Vice-President and Co-Chair of the Policy Procedure Committee. Jess’s expertise and commitment to excellence align seamlessly with our goals, and we anticipate great accomplishments under his guidance.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to both Whitney and Jess in their new roles. Their insights and leadership will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization.
